  1. totally digging that set up on your red viffer Dutchy. Nice. What kind of magnetic tank bag is that?
  2. Absolutely not. I have the same mini-delkevic without the baffle. Given it's just a slip on I think it sounds pretty damn good. After all I think it's one of the reasons we like V-4's, right? No baffle is my vote. Leave it as is!
  3. Here's a few pics (all be it not the best) with the Givi mounted on the retaining ring for the fuel cap. Personally I don't mind the bag per se but overall don't like it how it ties in with the tank. Oh well. To each his own. Looking around for other options that hug the tank better. People have recommend Cortech and Bagster. Enjoy
  4. Are you still making these NZCam? If so any available?
  5. Totally agree Dutchy. I'm with you. Gonna order a set soon. More muted and less obtrusive than the T-Rex's (both versions) in my humble opinion. I'll post some pics once they're on. By the way you mentioned GSG has a US distributor. Who? Thanks
  6. I have that precise set up. In general I like the bag and the quick tank lock system however the rigidity of the based and it's foot print compared to the tank makes it an off combination. I don't like how it looks like a duck bill......just me. I would prefer something that hugged the tank better but also has some sort of easy access quick connect. I've been looking around. I'll send you a pic as a reference later this evening.
  7. I run the Metzeler Sportec M7 RR's. Really like them
  8. Just pitched in. Hope that helps. By the way Delkevic makes full systems for 5th & 6th gens. www.delkevic.us. Hopefully you can beat them to the punch for the 8th gens....pleeaasssseeee.
  9. Lazyeye, Apologies as I just saw this post. Kinda new to this stuff. I can't comment on the old carousel as my time there was 2015 onwards, but overall The Ridge is epic in my humble opinion. A lot of great corners, changes in elevation, good open ground, good visual references, and the only barrier to contend with in on the lower straight so a good safe track. They now have a 1/5th scale go kart track which replicate the main track....it is super fun. The make things even better they recently built a motorcross track too! Anyways the electronics were fine. I didn't experience any interference from the rider aids. That being said those pics are from the first time I was ever on the track so I wasn't near pushing what the bike can do...not even close . Maybe someday. Ha! Point of interest. Have you heard about Area 27 over in Oliver, British Columbia? We're gonna try to run there this summer. I'll let you know how it goes..... Those pictures on wet track day I was running the stock Dunlop D222 tires. They did okay, but I have since switched to Metzeler Sportec M7 RR's. I like these tires wayyyy more than the Dunlops. The tip in really quick and have a good solid grip.
  10. Okay so this crowd fund is for a full header for the 2014+ models? Just to confirm. Thx RVFR
  11. Yeah man it sounds great. I really wish someone would come out with a full header kit and it would sound even more throaty.....grrrrrr. I chose this model as it's the best I could find at the time to showcase the beautiful rear wheel. For me actually it's my only real gripe about this new model.......with the plastic molding and even with a tidy tail you can't fit any pipes under the seat like the older model Viffers. Twin Delki mini's would be off the hook!
  12. Wow. That's great. Tracked my white 2014 Viffer 800dlx too! Down at The Ridge Motorsports Park in Shelton, Washington USA. Here's a few pics. Weather wasn't the best but running in the rain is good practice for smoother control inputs. Though counter intuitive to me at the time the instructors said to over inflate the street tires for the rain to open the treads which yield better grip. It worked!
  13. Interesting. I actually had a similar issue a week ago but to a lesser extent. I should have snapped a photo. Has gone away now though. If it happens again I'll let you know.
  14. I have the OEM Panniers and my Delkevic slip-on (mini 8" carbon fiber) works beautiful in conjunction. Plenty of clearance. http://www.delkevic.us/index.php?route=product/product&path=1678_5733_5758&product_id=2706
  15. Hey guys. Okay here´s an update: Regarding my gremlin electrical issue. The local shop hooked it up and scanned some codes and tried to clear them. Ultimately it pointed to a failed ECM. Here´s the beauty Honda.ca (Canada) states no ECM´s are in stock. In fact they are back ordered and won´t arrive until the end of July! Unreal. One quick phone call to a shop in Los Angeles and bam....they have 45 in stock and can have me an ECM in 3 days up to BC. Gets even better....Honda.ca wants to keep my bike to ¨run more tests¨. BS I told them. I needed my bike back to take my MST exam for today (which I can thankfully say I passed with no faults. Woohoo!) and that I needed it to go to The Ridge in Washington this weekend (prepaid school..no refunds). So they put it back together then took it out for a rip for about 30km. Ran perfectly fine. No issues with gear indicator or killing the engine with the kickstand in neutral. I kept my fingers crossed...took er out...practiced one last time for the MST with no event. Went out today, passed the MST, and took a celebratory rip so far with no problem. Early indications are that there must have been a loose connection somewhere in the wiring harness after they reassembled the bike for the crank shaft bearing fiasco. I am keeping my fingers crossed. If I make it back from the track with zero issues then I will assume it has been resolved. Wish me luck. Privateer>What kind of information are you after regarding the crank shaft bearing failure? I can scan and email you the what I have from Honda.ca but I don´t recall that it contained a lot of detail. Let me know and I will try to accommodate you. I feel for you pard...been there. Sorry to hear I am not the only one. It´s a shame really as for me this has really changed my view of Honda. I hope they make it right for you. See ya guys.
