  1. Welcome back! I was talking to someone just the other day about you and Vic doing track-days. Always enjoyed your ride reports.
  2. With the VFRness you shouldn't have all of these issues but it wouldn't hurt to inspect them all. Remove battery and charge overnight Inspect the starter relay and related wires for melting while battery is out Remove right side lower cowl and inspect yellow wiring from R/R to white connector for melting. It'll be tucked inside clear vinyl boot above right radiator Not as common but the blue/green connectors behind the left lower cowl above the left radiator have been known to melt Check that the bundle of ground wires to the frame are clean and secure Also check the starter button to make sure it's not getting stuck Reinstall freshly charged battery that hopefully tests above 12V Make sure battery cables and terminals are tight and clean I'd test the R/R and Stator per the service manual Electrosport Troubleshooting Guide PDF Hopefully you won't see any of this...
  3. Considering the weather that weekend, saddlebags are a great place to store extra layers, rain gear, heated gear, kayak, umbrella and also a place to store all of that stuff when the temps reached a summery level. I believe it went from a damp 45 to a balmy 80 to a chilly 50 all in one day. Plus, saddlebags are the ultimate frame sliders!
  4. IS THAT A CONNIE I SEE!!!??? Finally, someone with good taste I talked him into buying it. It is black after all. Running North On Push Mountain. Footage From The Fred Cam.
  5. AFAIK the stay's are the same except it'll have the mounting brackets on the left side for the ABS control unit. It will still have the PGM mounting brackets on the right. Perhaps someone else can confirm.
  6. Do you have a link to the specs/write up on that bike? Old For Sale Ad TYGA's Project Details
  7. Mark, I can't believe I forgot to talk to you about the dangers of riding on cords.
  8. Glad to hear that you... aka Terry... aka Maxswell... aka The Deer Slayer... aka Sugar Booger(Yes, there is a story) are back home! And a big thanks to Kyle for making it happen!
  9. Kicked M. L. out the door at his house and finally rolled in to mine just a bit ago. A finer bunch of people can't be found. M. L. and I had a super time!
  10. Still looking for that fireball. Anybody see it?
  11. Has anybody seen the fireball whiskey? I know it's around here somewhere.
  12. Glad I decided to stay thru Sunday. Looking forward to cool air!

You should send in some entries for the 2015 VFRD Calendar! Great looking bike!
  15. Adam's Highlight Video From Saturday 8-30-2014
  16. I definitely like cw but I believe Adam preferred ccw. I tried every possible line thru the bitch Sunday (cw) to avoid the dip but finally came to the conclusion that it's fastest to just go right over it and hope for the best. I still can't imagine running that track in a kart with the number of blind corners. Do you remember what speeds you were hitting?
  17. How about a video instead... https://vimeo.com/104983741
  18. Good to see you guys at Hallett! Got to give you credit for braving the scorching heat. Sunday was even worse. Adam and I managed to successfully finish every session both days... without doing any pavement surfing. We even beat our previous track records. Oh yeah, Adam decided to finally join the knee-draggers club!
  19. Wow! That's mighty generous of you Maxswell! Can you send me a set also?
  20. Obviously, you are doing a good job with the dancing. Ease up a little for Saturday and Sunday please!
  21. I'm going for sure and suspect Adam will too. I ain't scared of a little water.
  22. Thanks Larry! I'll give it a try.
  23. Anybody got some (semi)accurate weights of a 6th Gen? Curious about the actual weight of my '04, I recently had an opportunity to measure her tonnage. The scale I used is at a local kart track where I work and the owner assured me that it was accurate. I have my doubts since it weighed in at 440 lbs with a full tank of fuel. Than again I did take off the peg feelers. I believe it was Larry that used a couple of bathroom scales, one under each tire. Any input as to how accurate that would be? Mostly Stock: Stock seat w/cowl Grab handles ZG shortened DB Screen Throttlemeisters No rear sail/license plate No passenger pegs No tools No mirrors No peg feelers Elka shock w/preload adjuster and remote res. Interweb Specs: Dry: 470 lbs Wet: 538 lbs
