Amazing view, awesome corner ... as long as you stay on it I'm guessing. Great picture, did you ride this corner and then just think time to U-turn and photograph that? Amazing country.

Top pic, how a VFR should be ridden.

    the old

Very tidy job. Shows how classic the shape is. Ageless.

I changed and rode the BMW for a bit, felt like riding with ape hangers after the sporty bars of the Honda.

Day ride with mates from Napier and Wanganui. Meeting up at Waiouru for breakfast at 10 am during 640 km loop in the middle of the North Island. The VFR breezes this stuff and I was glad for the heated hand grips. Never got warmer than 12 degrees C and was 6 degrees down the Taupo Western Road first thing. Other than the odd skier, hardly any cars on the road. Bliss!

Mangakino one weekend. Grabbed a coffee and ran into a guy who buys 'middle aged' bikes. Too old to be flash anymore but not old enough to be fetching classic prices. He claimed he had something like 16 bikes, all bargains. He had purchased this more or less mint FJ1200 ABS for $2600 from Christchurch and was riding it back home.

Waitomo NZ, Sunday ride. A flat twin, straight air-cooled four, and a V4. 31 years between the oldest and newest.

Ratahi, New Zealand 27 December 2011. This guy does tens of thousand of ks touring NZ on small bikes.

Sep 2012. Two bikes separated by 28 years, 119hp, $22,000, 90 kg etc. But both Honda V4s and lots of fun on any backroad. Shot taken at Hobbiton in Matamata, NZ. This where they film parts of Lord of the Rings. Coffee is good here! Roads are all sealed, twisty and empty!

Nice sights along one of my favorite loops, close to Raglan, NZ

Owned both these from new at same time. Girlfriend at the time could ride both. Very convenient.
  14. From the album: Bikes across time

Best bike I owned as a student (well compare the specs of a 1969 Suzuki A100 or a 1976 Honda CG110). I toured on this thing!

The photo says Nov 63 so thinking this is early 1960s Honda. Just need to catch up with my relative who owned it, to be sure.
