Ok, well they were rubbish!
Tricky to fit in the confined space under a 6th Gen seat. The 5w part was ok - about the same as the standard incandescent bulb but the 21w brake light was hardly any brighter than the 5w and certainly nowhere near as bright as the standard bulb.
Good job they weren't expensive.
Oh, and one failed within a couple of minutes too.
That's a very good way to open up on this forum! You'll have a lot of friends, very shortly!
I have ridden a supercharged 5th Gen VFR800Fi, though I don't recall what bhp it was putting out, so I can imagine what a blown VFR is like.
Welcome.
Have you done any other of the recommended mods? Flapper valve, snorkel removal, O2 elims?
I have done all of these on my 08 and the improvement in low rev throttle response and mid-range torque is a noticeable improvement.
I am just in the process of ordering PAIR block off plates.
Is your experience the only one? If it is, then I suspect there may be something else afoot.
Haha, I wish! No, it doesn't belong to me but the kind owner allows me to fly her......and her sister, XL600 when she is finished being rebuilt which should be sometime in July.
I think it's significantly better than both. The engine was the only thing about the Fi that was better than the Vtec and that is now "sorted" IMO. And all those aspects of the Vtec that were better than the Fi are improved too, except perhaps for the de-linking of the brakes.
Better than both I think.
Indeed CC, it was just a test ride guys.
But if you own a VFR800, this bike has a health warning attached....this bike is dangerous to your bank balance! Everything the Vtec should have been from the start with some nice modern goodies thrown in.
The perfect VFR?
