It was several years ago. You also need the clip-on nuts under them. They come with retainers, but I got some thin plastic washers too so they don't scratch up the paint. I'm sure those are on the site somewhere too, although I might have got those at Lowe's. All said and done, I think it was less than $20. I did the 3 on each side, 2 on the bottom that connects both sides together, and the 4 on top that connects the dash to the sides (1 of those is a real pain though - too thick of plastic build up). So maybe I spent more than $20 since that comes up to 12 and the packages come in 10's. I have extras though now.

I think the DZUZ or something like that were an inspiration, but I wanted something nicer and reversible. DZUS were my inspiration as well, but I didn't like the cost or the fact that anyone could walk up, grab the "D" ring and undo the fastener. The screw head gave a little more security. They are completely reversible as well. The clips just slide over the existing hole on the underside. No drilling, no riviting, no nothing.

I could be wrong here (wouldn't be the first time) but I thought you were using a PC with Autotune?? Doesn't that have an O2 sensor?? The 2001 VFR also has an O2 sensor even if you aren't using the Autotune and that would cause issues with the PC. Or did are you using a different header?

A friend of mine put HHO on his Caravan and reported he went from 18 mpg to something like 25 mpg. Maybe he is just driving it different?? Not sure. Anyways, I was talking to him about it and he said he had to put something else on it to trick the computer. Something about the O2 sensor doesn't read the richened up mixture because of the HHO?? So maybe he is just running leaner now then he was, hence the increase in fuel mileage? Not sure I would go through the trouble on the VFR for extra fuel mileage. Now my 11.5 mpg truck or 7.75 mpg motor home is a different story.

I'd rather have a ToroCharger. Too much heat with Turbo's and I've seen way too many of them come apart working at Cummins, which just fills the engine with metal pieces.
