  1. That's what I did to mine, I've been looking for some pic's of it being done, but haven't found it yet. Worked fine for me with room to spare.
  2. I was looking at the OP's set up and really liked them for looks and adjustment.... But didn't want to give up the rubber part on the stock, so got BLS's lowering blocks, couldn't be happier. Here's a link: http://www.vfrdiscussion.com/forum/index.php/topic/44940-peg-lowering-blocks/

  9. +1 Monk, whats that on the end of your clip- on... Im not familiar: That's called a Throttle boss, It's the only one I've found that stays in place. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/3/13/121/6447/ITEM/Kuryakyn-Universal-Throttle-Boss.aspx Thank you sir!! Looks to be added to the to do list... Here's a shot/angle you can start with. It's easier to move if set low then move it up as needed. Try not to stretch it any more than needed when installing(just lick the knob just prior to connection). DSC00223.JPG

  11. I am thinking of getting the same thing. Does it work well? Likes, dislikes about it? I've been using the NEP and it works fine. One thing I did was to cut the thumb lever down, it doesn't need to be as long as it is(IMO). here's a shot of the modified lever. DSC00224.JPG

  16. with my luck that would still be considered "obstructed" because if the cop is off center to the right he cannot see the plate. once I get an aftermarket exhaust I will mount it vertical again, even if I have to trim the plate a bit. Right now I'd have to cut off WAY to much, possibly cut off some number as well. As long as I am registered in Virginia I don't think it will be a problem. -Drew I wouldn't think it would make that much difference, even if you got a ticket I don't *think* it comes to points This is the only thing I could find.... The last line is the kicker. § 46.2-716. How license plates fastened to vehicle; altering appearance of license plates. A. Every license plate shall be securely fastened to the motor vehicle, trailer, or semitrailer to which it is assigned: 1. So as to prevent the plate from swinging, 2. In a position to be clearly visible, and 3. In a condition to be clearly legible. B. No colored glass, colored plastic, bracket, holder, mounting, frame, or any other type of covering shall be placed, mounted, or installed on, around, or over any license plate if such glass, plastic, bracket, holder, mounting, frame, or other type of covering in any way alters or obscures (i) the alpha-numeric information, (ii) the color of the license plate, (iii) the name or abbreviated name of the state wherein the vehicle is registered, or (iv) any character or characters, decal, stamp, or other device indicating the month or year in which the vehicle's registration expires. No insignia, emblems, or trailer hitches or couplings shall be mounted in such a way as to hide or obscure any portion of the license plate or render any portion of the license plate illegible. C. The Superintendent may make such regulations as he may deem advisable to enforce the proper mounting and securing of the license plate on the vehicle. 1st off mate, Welcome. Bloody-L that's a sweet ride, love what you did to it.
  23. Very nice write up on the heli installation. Just my opinion, as for putting any kind of lube to fit the bars to the fork tubes, due to unwanted slippage after install. All that need be done is to put a wedge in the space to srpead the bar clamp.
