Nice. Congrats. I'm only at about 57 000 km. C Edit: no real repairs so far, but I DO have a spare stator and gasket just in case Murphy's laws hit me... spare R/R too...

Welcome Roger! Congrats on the bike. Now, being 52 and able to ride day in day out, every day since you are retired, I'm quite jealous. Enjoy the new bike! C

Foot Vibrates Off Peg At Highway Speeds
Polarbear replied to ChiefGodzilla's topic in Riding Technique
Duct tape? Seriously, vibrations are that bad? Find another member who has a vfr, do a test ride comparison and see if you need to fix yours. Maybe only new soles on your boots... -

Mirror Replacement Needed After Dumb Drop
Polarbear replied to dahved's topic in Eighth Generation VFR's
Hello, sorry about your mishap. I think it all depends on what you want. You may be able to find used ones in decent shape but not perfect, and if you can live with it, why not. But if you need perfect, then you need to buy new (OEM or otherwise). I think it is hard to beat Honda for quality but they are a few dollars more. Btw, join the club. I have used replacements myself. Don't ask... C -

Hey Gary, how's the commuter running? You must have been riding it by now. Is it fixed? Properly fixed?? C -
Very nice. Fastest color this time? Good choice. Welcome back! I have the same pace as you then. C

Uh, so trailering the VStrom would be a reeeeely bad idea, I guess? Glenn No, it just means you're buying beer all night. C

A tra.... Never heard of it. No idea. Nope. Does not ring a bell. C PS now, if non-VFR owners have to stand last to fill up, buy the first round and so on, think about those who trailer their bikes..... Hehehe.

Good thing you aren't a math teacher! ;)He does it on purpose and tells the kids to always check his computations to be sure. Whoever finds a mistake in his figures get extra marks. Great lesson for the kids. And, btw, who needs to learn how to count these days with smart phones always handy... Thats a great idea.Video of what Randy's last rout to the kootenay was, you can see him on his white bike demonstrating precise parking technique at 3 minute mark into video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsjthMGWCko I thought this was the English broke who use to show up in a KLR and smoke us old guys on sport bikes? Forgot his name. Photographer and great guy too?? C
