  8. It doesn't appear from your photos that these bulbs provide the same width of coverage as the standard bulbs. This is important where I live because of the deer problem. My standard bulbs light up the shoulders of the road incredibly well, as well as provide great distance coverage. In fact, it's amazing how well and how far they illuminate everything. When you're on the road, do these bulbs improve significantly upon width and distance of coverage? I don't want to lose anything just for the sake of having a bulb with a "cool" color. But if they are a significant improvement, I do want to get them. Anybody?
  9. Regarding Mobil 1, I use the 4T. Is it OK to use the Mobil 1 non-4T? Yes, I'm confused.
  10. Grip Puppies are a bit ugly, but they're inexpensive, make the grip fatter and softer, are easy to install, and they work well for me.
  11. Destined to become a classic!
  12. Sequential blinking LED's in there would be a lot of work. The strips that I used were pre-wired . . .you would have to either build your own bank and a custom controller to sequentially light the LED's or find one that would suit your needs. There's probably something out there, but it wouldn't be that complicated to make one yourself. Probably the hardest part would be finding a way to route all of the wiring within the reflector. I did a bunch of research regarding color. . . .I never came across anything that stated that turn signals could not be partially on the side of a vehicle. . . .if you think about it, both the front and rear stock signals are visibile from the side anyway. ONe thing that I intend to do is change the rear combination light to the clear version from the '06 and later model years and install red LED turn signal bulbs in that unit as well. Then all of my rear facing lights will be red, which as far as I have determined, is completely legal. Amber must be used for forward facing turn signals. Knight Riderz makes 12-LED sequential turn signal lights (red or amber), but they're only a little over four inches wide.
  13. I engine brake with my cage automatic tranny. Hasn't fallen out yet, and sure saves on brake pads. Guess I just miss having a manual trans.
  14. Most cage drivers behind me keep their distance, even more distance than when they are behind another cage (maybe they think I'll go all ape-shit on them). I do flash my brakes, though, just to give them a heads up. My brake lights flash five times, then stay steady on, so if I just blip them, they only flash. When stopped, I keep a constant eye on my side view mirrors. If a vehilcle is approaching, I apply my brakes to get their attention. So far, this has worked well. Tomorrow may be a different story, though! I do believe your idea has merit, though.
