I had only heard of one failure prior to this recall and that bike had a lot of miles on it and had been launched hard and often according to the owner. After the recall I could find a couple more Crosstourer failures but overall pretty rare. There was one VFRD member claiming people(s) had been injured because of drive shaft failures but he never backed up his claims and no one else was aware of this.1 point
