Machined fender bracket

The whole process involved - taking both sets of bare lower fork legs (VTR/VFR800) to the CMM house. Reference all dimensions from the lower axle centerline, the outer face of the tube center line to the mounting bosses and the fore/aft centerlines of the tubes. Essentially defining - x-y-z of the fender mount bosses of both SH tubes and VFR tubes, left and right. (no guessing here.) Then designing a bracket that works for a conversion from one to the other.

Working on version 3.0 - a couple tweeks here and there - take some material out of it for weight reduction and I originally missed adding the thickness of the reflector bracket to the top mount boss. I couldnt figure out for the longest time why the low mount was perfect and the top one was short. Drove me crazy.

It hit me silly once I figured it out. Doh!

I sell the brackets for this conversion. PM me for info.

Hey gang - I'm kinda out of the fender bracket business.. I dont sell enuff to really make any more. If a group of min 5 ask for it, I could take a look.

Yeah a bit lighter, but the main thing is that the dimensions are more precise for a perfect fit. 

And by nature as an engineer geek foole, I just cant leave well enuff alone, I keep tweeking things.

Hummm... I have a set from 4/13 what version were those?  Any difference in mounting?  How much, with another pair of the stepped washer?  Upon further inspection, I need another set as the fender installed on my Hawk requires these too, they were installed with regular hardware from prior mechanic.

Art, you have a set from April 2013? -- Really the differences are very subtle. I'm talking probly a quarter mm in a couple spots, not enuff to make a big difference. Its just spitting hairs.

Everything still fits the same.

That is correct, back when I acquired the VFR and went ahead and did the delink.  I may need another pair of the special washers.  Also, the brackets I have, they take the space of the reflector that is removed correct?

Right - the brackets do take into account that the reflectors are now removed.
