The Phantom 213 Posted September 6, 2007 OK, why haven't we been told about this before now???? Some serious work has gone into this. Chromallusion paint or anodising on the wheels? Ohlins R&T front end, Galfer wave rotors, anodised bits and pieces, grips, screen, seat... and a BUGBUSTER!!! Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer Alien VFR 0 Posted September 7, 2007 Those wheels would look great on a silver VFR... Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer tok tokkie 1 Posted September 7, 2007 Stop teasing. Tell us about it. Yammie calipers & Phantom tells me those are Ohlins forks. Come on 'fess up because we need to know. Quote Link to comment
zRoYz 122 Posted September 7, 2007 very nice Dan, only the red screen just doesn't do it for me. the R1 radial calipers look good also, very well done. i'm still keen to know if you have lowered rear & bike in pic looks very low but the angle can play tricks. Quote Link to comment
Member Contributer skuuter 13 Posted September 7, 2007 This is a fantastically detailed bike..........the "all-red" theme really carried out great. Brakes, forks, etc............ Quote Link to comment

Darth Bling 4 Posted September 7, 2007 Yes!! Another Frankenviffer! I love those Yami calipers. I'm guessing that's an 2000 or 2001 RC51 front wheel there, Ohlin R&T forks like Phantom said, plus you've got Ohlin's radial caliper mounts for the calipers too. I'm guessing that's a Yamaha front fender. So, what lower triple did you use? RC51 SP1 is the choice among Frankenvifferiasts, but they are very elusive now. Maybe a 929/954 triple?? Just curious. ~Tim Quote Link to comment
zRoYz 122 Posted September 7, 2007 I think the forks are CBR1000RR which is why I asked ride height question because I didn't think you could obtain standard ride height front even with 954 upper triple & clipons mounted bellow due to there length. I have a CBR so can measire but the Ohlins forks might be longer or setup for less dynamic sag (I find showa forks like min 30mm). On a VTEC you can use either lower triple clamp with some attention to oil cooler location & mounts. Thanks for the high res pics Dan your bike is that nice it has made my desk top, Quote Link to comment

Member Contributer NYMBYSS 1 Posted September 14, 2007 rc 51 forks ,cbr1000rr fender,r1 calipers, braided steel lines (custom),stock front wheel with rc51 bearings and axel,i got that idea from tok tokkie you can do that but you have to shave down the inner spacer for the bearings, the rest i gleaned from vfr800canucks write up.
