I spent 2 days trying to see the Blue Ridge only to be rained and fogged out for both.

Might even be an FZ-1. I can't tell with the bags on. FZ-1 has the big ugly side pipe. FZ-6 has a nice looking undertail dual exhaust.

That is the same BRP parking lot that I dropped my newly Silver VFR trying to get it on the center stand in the rain.

That area can get socked in for hours or days !

gilles54,

Curious what your buddy thinks of the FZ6. Lot's of them for sale with low miles... been wondering why.

That's an FZ-6 the FZ-1 is different looking on the front

That's what I thought, but I've never seen an FZ-1 in person and didn't know enough about them to make the call. That's why I added my second comment after stating FZ-6 in the first one. (covering my tracks) :)

I went riding with a guy the other day that has one. It looks like a nice bike and had a comfortable seating position. I just sat on it, so I have no idea how it handles. It's obviously slow cause it's silver. :goofy:

Been there many times. It is hit or miss as to whether it will be sunny or foggy. I have been up there and it is complete sunshine, and the wham total fog.

Yes the ride up to mt. mitchell is nice. A must visit destination.
