Carlosfandango
We are going to the Moto GP in Assen in June, however as we have never been there before, anyone know the best grandstand to be in for the best view of the action? some are selling out fast! Member Contributer Dutchy Posted April 30, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted April 30, 2017 Geert Timmer. Full stop. The last chicane for start/finish. Do or die... Probably sold out already. Check the "floorplan" where the video walls are for alternative seatings. Am there this very minute for the wsbk weekend.
Member Contributer Dutchy Posted April 30, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted April 30, 2017 Went to Assen TT since 82 or so. Started going to wsbk since the 90s Stopped going to the TT when it became a "must go hype" with admission prices skyrocketting. There are limits, even for me. YMMV and that is ok :-)

I have 5 more years at least for a WSBK still
Carlosfandango
Thanks but all sold out at Geert Timmer, looks like it will be popular at the Moto GP this year! Managed to get seats in Haarbocht. Prices are not too bad - you should try coming to Silverstone! Next job, try to find a hotel...........
Member Contributer Dutchy Posted April 30, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted April 30, 2017 Good luck with finding hotels nearby, or campsite... For the past years, the TT has become an even more popular place where "one has to be" irrespective if one rides or not. Lots of corporate hospitality going on. Prices (as you have noticed) are brisk. Haarbocht is good too, end of start straight with looong sweep right with left Strubben onto the Veenslang GT (and in the olden days Strubben before the remodelling) one booked tickets for the next year right away since as long as I can remember. Are you riding or driving? Either way, plan to arrive hours in advance ad traffic on race day gets silly. As one would expect with 100k people coming to one place. Crowded House also with regards to the weather, bring raingear AND sun hat/uv cream. 4 seasons in one day What I just did for wsbk is camp. Arrive friday afternoon, pitch, drink, wake up, breakfast and walk the 15 minutes to the gt. During the tt it will take much much longer. Nothing wrong with corporate hospitaluty by the way :-)
