VifferMatt
Back in september I had to lay her down to avoid hitting an animal. Luckily I was'nt going too fast and only managed to mess up the body a bit and the rad. Replaced the front fairing and re-worked the left side myself. Everythings primed and ready for paint. This prompted me to finally do what Ive always wanted to her. A one of a kind theme for my mistress. Thought Id share my progress as Im a bit proud of whats been done so far. VifferMatt
Im sticking with the black and gold look. Adding some graffics as well. don't want to reveal too much till the end and I'm done and happy with the build. But I do intend on updating as often as I can
Member Contributer Skids Posted February 1, 2017 Member Contributer Share Posted February 1, 2017 Gold is usually a bit bling for me but it can look very cool when done properly. Best of luck with the project.
Blazerdman
I like it, I think making the engine matte black and the heads gold will look ballin too. I'm going quite different with mine when I get around to it. Matte black frame, swing arm and engine. Fairing is gonna be re-sprayed a dark matte grey and then all the engine bolts, fairing bolts, bar ends, basically all the little bling stuff of that nature will be dark chrome blue to be close to the original fairings blue colour, possibly 1-2 shades lighter. I hate silver looking stuff on bikes, chrome can look good if done right but that flat silver on the VFR's frames always bothered me. Just makes it look really old, black out frame and such and BAM looks 10 years younger.
VifferMatt
I agree the silver dates the bike, I seen a vfr with the frame gloss black and i was in love with the idea of changing its color. I have a few other areas to touch up and change. Front forks, front wheel will get painted to match, as well as the handle bars. I am also swapping out the mirrors to ones with integrated signals in them. Spike bolts, revolver bars ends, Blade levers. Id like to swap out the engine cover to something like what your profile pic shows. Love that see thru look. Got a link? Paint will hopefully be done within the next month, then graphics and Ill be riding one sexy beast.

Blazerdman
Thanks 3dcycle, WifferMatt. Seb did a fantastic job and the powdercoating done on it as well is top notch. Very very happy with it and I would suggest it should be cosmetic mod number 1 for people.
