rektifyre
I have "complete" heated hand grips, installed by the previous owner. The throttle grip is worn almost down to the throttle cylinder in some parts. Since these are "all in one" heated hand grips (the grip and heat feature and electric component is all one piece. as opposed to a thin film insert), how can I save my hand grips without replacing entirely? Member Contributer JZH Posted September 27, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted September 27, 2016 I doubt they're repairable. I'd replace them with something else! Ciao,
Member Contributer Mohawk Posted September 27, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted September 27, 2016 If they are still working, then go to a dive shop (or on line) & buy some aquasure glue, it will stick to most things, its thick & if you use a thin plastic flim. you can coat the damaged areas, then wrap with the plastic leave for 24hrs, then peel the plastic off. It's very slippy when wet, so you might want to add some sand to the surface before wrapping with plastic. Good luck.
