VFR400 In North Carolina

Stretch

Recommended Posts

At the V4Hondabbs Spring Get Together this year we had a new visitor. This little jewel came in from CT for a spin through the mountains. It sounded real good and from what I was told it would be right at home in the NC hills. Unfortunate for me, I felt like I was straddling a shetland pony so I didn't feel comfortable taking it for a ride. From what I was told, it is a Japanese bike with the metric speedo so I'd have to do to much math to avoid performance awards. No doubting this one has gear driven cams.

Very nice!  Doing the math is not bad, I do it on one of mine.  Just take the first number (or 2) and multiply by 6, 100 km/h is 62 mph. So, 60 km/h is roughly 36 mph, 120 km/h is roughly 72 mph and so on...

I owned one of those way back when, it had no trouble keeping up with my ZX-10 riding friends on curvy roads. I agree that the Rothmans scheme is the best, mine was in the RC30 colours.
