I bought one fot my VF500F2, build quality wise on par with Wilbers, Hyperpro at lower cost. You donot pay for the name -yet-.

Mine was assembled in the Netherlands by a suspension guru who visits the factory in Thailand regularly since I wanted a quicker TAT.

I forgot to add that I have a Wilbers on my VFR750 (bought years ago) and for me the YSS is on par.

YSS produdes in Thailand (others probably as well) were labor costs are lower, but the factory and machinery is very modern. I have see the pictures that the suspension guy took. his Thai girlfirend by the way took care of the tea while I waited as the shock was fitted.

My (and Douglasthecook's) Wilbers rear shock was assembled in Germany and both were NOT right. They were setup properly later and this was attributed to an disgruntled member of staff. Others believe there was more a design/production flaw.....

Over on the German VFR forum there is at least one other very happy YSS customer.

Here some pictures of my YSS (it has adjustable height)
