Member Contributer NodakVFR Posted May 6, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted May 6, 2016 Has anyone tried installing the panniers of a 7th Gen onto a 8th gen? I put money down on an 8th Gen (should be a 7th gen INTERCEPTOR, imo... and 1200's should be "Pursuits"..... but that's another story. From posts I've read, and scanning the web, I believe they may fit. I have a set of oem bags for my 1200F, and am getting a 2014 VFR DLX soon. I will surely try fitting the 1200 cases and letting everyone know
Rsparky
Hope it works! More options the better, as I am still debating my best luggage choice. Subbed
Member Contributer fink Posted May 6, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted May 6, 2016 Yes they fit but there is a mod required to do with the heat shield. Have read it somewhere but can't remember where.
Member Contributer RC1237V Posted May 8, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted May 8, 2016 Someone did it on the 7th gen site, and I think the key cylinders are different, but if you just use your 7th gen key, they will work just fine.
