Barmo
Hi, I got my 2008 VFR 800 ABS in November and noticed that the preload adjuster was stuck on the hardest setting. I removed the knob and used a socket wrench to loosen it. Now I can turn it and the preload works, but the clicks(?) are gone. I guess the little metal ball (and possibly the spring) is somewhere lost in my garage. Does someone know what size of metal ball and spring that can be used to replace what I have lost? Thanks Thomas
Member Contributer Duc2V4 Posted February 9, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted February 9, 2016 Sounds like that's what happened. I have an ABS shock somewhat handy (I.e. not installed) but I won't be able to get to it until later this week. If you can wait I can try and get a measurement for you. Member Contributer gmtech94 Posted February 9, 2016 Member Contributer Share Posted February 9, 2016 The spring is 9.5 mm long and diameter of 3.95mm as well as the ball is 3.95 mm. I hope this helps .
Barmo
Will a 4 mm ball fit? Can´t seem to find anything that is 3,95 mm.

Barmo
Thank you. I found 100 4mm balls at AliExpress for $1, so now I can make this mistake 100 times more. Thomas Edit: The spring was still there under a layer of dirt :smile2: Now I just have to wait for my balls to arrive (the small metal ones that is).
