I Fitted Some 6Th Gen Risers To A 5Th Gen

Results are usable, not ideal. They were free, so i can live with it at resolve the few minor issues.

First up: They work GREAT! Really taken the weight off my wrists and quite a bit of strain off my back that i didn't even know existed. It's also moved me into a better position to get the benefit of the Vario screen. Also feels like i have much more control over the bike.

Negatives:
They don't quite fit. Clearly my forks are thinner than a 6th gen, but not by much, and the positioning is slightly off.

I can probably fix that with a washer under the riser to level it out, and maybe a sleeve inside the riser to eliminate any free space.
The bars clamp on perfectly fine and feel solid. though the riser caps won't fit as they're too wide and sit low.

I admit this is a bit of a bodge-job, but for free? Great result.

Happy to swap for some proper 5th gen risers!

or my train of thought missed a stop.

i have risers too, but you've got some on the way, so its all good.

Indeed. Now have proper 5th gen risers. Sold the old ones to pay for most of the new ones. Everything now sits properly.
