Member Contributer YellowFuzz Posted September 22, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted September 22, 2015 I noticed recently that when I have the bike on the centerstand and it's running in neutral, the rear tire is spinning, not fast, but it's spinning. Also, the clutch seems to be a little grabby when disengaged. If the engine's revving a little more than normal from a stop, the clutch grabs quicker than what it has been. Is the clutch fully disengaging when in neutral? Time to take it in and have it looked at? It's got 65,000 miles on it. Suggestions? Member Contributer mk2davis Posted September 22, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted September 22, 2015 Apply the rear brake to stop the rear tire from spinning. If your rpms drop, then it may be time for a new clutch.
Member Contributer wagzhp Posted September 22, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted September 22, 2015 The rear tire spinning while in neutral on the center stand is normal. You should be able to stop it with just a light press on the brake pedal. It's caused by the viscous friction of the oil on gear train. Thicker oil will cause it to spin a little faster. The grabby clutch could be worn groves on the fingers of the clutch basket, or it could just be time to bleed the clutch.

timmythecop
dont forget to bleed the line at the banjo bolt right by the master cylinder. Thats where most of the air sits,
