Member Contributer JZH Posted February 13, 2015 Member Contributer Share Posted February 13, 2015 Well, sure, but it's even cheaper to do it the tried-and-true way that has worked on Hondas for ever: catch the lip of the bearing with a sharp drift or screwdriver and tap the bearing out directly. Someone points this out in the comments, but this is dismissed by someone else by saying that there isn't always room to catch the edge of the bearing. That is nonsense. The central bearing spacer is specifically designed to pivot slightly to each side in order to allow the bearing to be tapped out. I sure hope the guy intending to slot a bolt with a hacksaw reads this before embarking on a laborious, difficult and rather pointless endeavour!
