mcrwt644
I've looked, and can't find a definitive answer to this. Does anyone know if the starter clutch from earlier model vfrs (say an 87) will work with the 90-97 bikes? I see on sites like bikebandit that their part number correlates, but I cannot find the whole oem number. I haven't pulled my starter clutch yet to see exactly what may or may not be broken, but it slips from time to time. I like to have my parts in hand before going in...no comment gll...lol
kemer1
Go to partzilla.com, they list the whole manufacturers part number unlike bikebandit that just lists their stock numbers.
Member Contributer JZH Posted March 21, 2014 Member Contributer Share Posted March 21, 2014 Certainly any of the parts with "ML7" in the middle would fit--that is the Parts Classification Number for the '86 VFR750F. I haven't checked all of the '97 parts, but most of them seem to be ML7 parts. Go to Ron Ayers or Partzilla and check out the microfiche.
