Hi all. First topic posted on here.

I have a 51 plate VTEC model. On switching ignition on, I need to move the bars to the left to activate the fuel pump. Bike runs fine and never cuts out. Just on start up I have to move the bars every time for the fuel pump to kick in. Any advice?

I would agree that it is electrical, possibly a loose connection. Don't ignore this and let it continue for too long, search for the issue. I've seen a few post where the wiring at or near the ignition switch gets "tweaked" and causes all sorts of havoc. My guess is that the wire that leads to the fuel pump is broken underneath the jacket and that when you move the bars, it allows the wire strands to "reconnect" and let the electrons flow. Either that or the end of the wire is coming off of its mating connector and by turning the bars it allows for a "better" connection.
