Member Contributer skymon Posted June 10, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted June 10, 2013 Can the starter switch assembly be removed without removing the clip-on and the "throttle pipe"?
Member Contributer KevCarver Posted June 10, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted June 10, 2013 That is probably the easiest way to do it, IIRC... Take off the brake master, loosen the throttle cables, remove the screws from the switch housing, loosen the clip on and take it off, slide the throttle tube and housing off (remember the pin holding it in the bar), pull the throttle tube out of the channel, then pull the cable ends out of the throttle tube. Only other way is to take the throttle cables off the other end at the throttle body? (Much harder...) That is my recollection...
Member Contributer skymon Posted June 10, 2013 Author Member Contributer Share Posted June 10, 2013 Thanks. Your recollection sounds exactly like what it looks like. Just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something even easier. (Like somehow getting the switch assembly separated from the throttle tube while it was still on the handlebar.)
