Guest LUKEVFRR
ok posted on here 2 months ago with a poor neglected 96 vfr thought i would do some thing different with fairing as it came as a streetfighter. And having never done this type of project before didnt know what it would envolve, so now im in a position to give advice that i wish i would have taken or asked for its much harder than i thought and leads to many other modifications. The bike had few problems to start with and wiring was full of issues all i had was a speedo. I bought full set of Gsxr k1 race / fibreglass farings , K6 Headlight , Zx9r Clocks , L.e.d rear lights indicator .L.e.d Front indicators, + Relay to suit. Now its different which is kinda what i wanted

Member Contributer 2thdr Posted April 25, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted April 25, 2013 It would make me nervous to ride it with the chain completely exposed like that... I frequently find that my heel rests on the swingarm when I'm not paying attention.
Guest
Been out testing the bike out seems ok found the clutch wasnt disengaging causing selecting 1st to crunch i have since reduced engine oil by 1/3 of a litre as it had been overfilled. Next job for me is to increase acceleration larger rear spocket. Everytime i hit the front brake there is a clunk which i have yet to figure out ? .Another job is to create a way to cover the exhaust and oil cooler as it stands out. Veefer800Canuck
Hey, thanks for the additional pics. The clunk in the front end might be the headstock bearings. Take the top yoke off and see if they are loose. Might need new ones if the races are dented.
