Member Contributer Muff Posted March 9, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted March 9, 2013 I just completed my shock transplant with success! The patient is feeling better and much more firmer. Yes I had it revalved and a 1100 spring to hold my big a@@ up. Now for the tuning... Hope to find a good friend to help with that.
Baileyrock
Congrats Muff but I don't think an 1100# spring is anywhere near enough. that's what I run @190lbs. No doubt it will be a huge improvement but a 1300-1400 lb spring would be much closer to ideal . I was asking what spring he planned to run but you weren't sure at the moment . Member Contributer JamieDaugherty Posted March 18, 2013 Member Contributer Share Posted March 18, 2013 Just a reference point, I install an 1100lb/in spring for riders in the 145-180lb range. I hope this helps.
