Trying to start 96 after carb rebuild, new fuel filter

Never rely upon compressed air or soaking to clear a slow jet; you must be able to poke a thin (.012") wire through the hole !! It's possible to see light through a partially-clogged jet and conclude it's OK when it's not.

Also, refilling carbs after draining is always best done with a funnel into the fuel line or by bypassing the pump relay to get power to the fuel pump without stressing the starter and battery excessively.

On my 93 I remove the fuel line connection from the inlet line to the 4 carbs and use a small funnel to fill the carbs it saves cranking it over for a prolonged period of time.
