nedhills
I bought this right hand cluster from Europe and when it came it had a weird switch which turns off the running lights to start the bike with low power. I was wondering if this is just a European feature. also in the package came this fuel level meter but I dont know if its even for the vf1000. what is it? Member Contributer Dutchy Posted April 5, 2012 Member Contributer Share Posted April 5, 2012 Nope, nothing to do with starting..... The H is all light on the dot is all lights off the P is Parking Light; this is a legal requirement since long. so that if you have to park your bike by the road side at night, it is visible. to achieve that, one rear bulb is activated andthe front light assembly has a small low wattage bulb

In Europe we can run no lights, a small (p) side light or is the dippable main light. Parking lights are on the ignition barrel. Roger
