Guest mtbiker1
I'm needing a new front tire in a pinch so I can go ride tomorrow. Dealer has a Pilot Power 2ct in a 120/60-17 size... (I know that's a bit smaller in profile than the standard size for the VFR)...my question is, has anyone ever mounted this smaller size on the front to any detriment and/or positives? Parts folks told me I would get a bit quicker turn in and I wouldn't notice that much difference between the two sizes. I've never mixed and matched tires, not to mention sizes, so very curious. Should I just wait and order the standard size Pilot Power? I have a standard Pilot Power on the rear with under 2,000 miles on it. Thanks in advance for any info you all might have... Member Contributer BCmcrider Posted September 15, 2011 Member Contributer Share Posted September 15, 2011 Not sure if that would mess with the ABS and cause it to think the back (due to turning slower) is nearer locking up than it really is. soichiro
Probably would be fine, but dont do it. Most of us on here never believing in mixing tires. The frt. is the most popular size. I am surprised that they dont have one. Get the right size, tire.

No ABS on my bike. Will probably wait....ride the XT250 instead....
