Member Contributer VFR Capt.Bob Posted November 24, 2010 Member Contributer Share Posted November 24, 2010 On the street you definately have to choose your moments wisely. I've often thought that riding a sport bike brings with it a heightened sense. I always pay attention to my gut feelings when I ride. Cops have talked about this as well. When so much is at stake I think the mind and body take in more data and process it more quickly and we become aware of more subtle signs of danger. As far as the passing on double yellows, it absolutely has to be done with certainty. Nothing left to chance, and you have to have your plan B up and ready to execute if you need to get out of the way of something in a hurry. It's important to post these messages about rider safety. Just look at the rash of accidents we've had in the past several months.
