Member Contributer 2FAST4U Posted October 5, 2010 Member Contributer Share Posted October 5, 2010 have seen a few overseas manufacturers are there any stateside for our vfr's? This is the only one I know of. It's made by Thurn Motorsports in Germany. The only thing I didn't like about it is I thought it stuck out too far over the (rear) sprocket. Forum member SEBSPEED cut a couple inches off the back and then reshaped what was left so that it looked good. Since it's made of metal, you can paint it. P.S. Thurn ships to the U.S.
Member Contributer kgsmotorcycles Posted October 5, 2010 Member Contributer Share Posted October 5, 2010 Also have to give a thumbs up for Thurn motorsports... This is the second i have had from them in carbon, although third/fourth gen. here, they specialize in all things VFR. The two P clips that came with to attach the brake line were as heavy as the whole chain guard. So i binned them and went through the swing-arm, saving weight.. Guest
Looked into ordering one of these chain guards from thurns website but it looks like it can only be ordered with the hugger. How did you guys go about just ordering the chain guard?
