93 VFR750 RC36
I've just been fitting up my belly panels and one of the front downpipes from my new system is really close. Here are some pictures. I've got about 3mm clearance at the closest point. I know this is too close and I'm left with three options: 1. Cut away some of the belly panel to give more clearance. 2. Wrap the exhaust with some exhaust wrap tape. 3. Both 1 and 2. Any advice would be gratefully received as I'm not sure what the best solution is. How much protection from the pipe will heat wrap give? I've put weeks of work into this rebuild and I don't want it to go up in smoke on day one. It did the trick. Got it at Lowes. Could wrap the pipe with header tape- Mac
