You should retest the charging voltage after you have taken the bike for a ride, after everything has heated up. I dont like how the charging voltage is dropping at 5k - it should be at its highest. If the voltage is even lower after the bike has heated up then for sure your r/r is going south. A bad R/R that is hot will drop voltage below the minimum charging level, but will test ok when its still cold.

Whenever you have an issue like this you should run down every part of the charging system, R/R, Battery, Stator, Connectors/wires. Just to be sure you have solved the problem. Just because VFRS have known regulator/rectifier issues you should still test the other components. Honda seems to see stators and R/R as consumables like chains and tires. Thats why I run a voltmeter, they will give you advanced warning when they are starting to fade.

Motorcycle batteries are definitly not deep cycle batteries, if you discharged it completly recharging it with a trickle chager will bring it back to life but not completely. Unless you have a newer gel pack cell a regular lead acid battery just cant take a full discharge and come back to full potential.
