Guest heavymental Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 I'm finally getting around to mounting my zumo on my '06 and was wondering if you guys have any basic wiring tips? does it tap into the battery or original fuse box or other? any recommendations on routing the wire up to the cradle on left handlebar? AB-Oz Posted September 22, 2008 Share Posted September 22, 2008 I just wired up a Zumo to a mates Vtec last week. Pop the seat, raise the tank, follow the brake lines down the LHS of tank with the wire, under the seat rail all the way to the rear lights. The middle wire on (each of) the brake lights is the "live" wire when the ignition is on, use a wire crimp connector thingo to connect the RED wire to this. Theres also a silver/alu bolt next to the catch for the seat, use this for the earth. viola! Wired up so that it switches on when you start the bike, and will turn off when you stop the bike.
