Zumo 550 Blue Tooth?

After a couple of hours looking for the best blue tooth to use and not a one rises to the top for the Zumo 550 and would like to know what others know or like of ones that are the best. I will only be using it to listen to get the Zumo map directions. No music,no phone for my needs. :comp13: LOL I like the sound of my VFR with it's StainTune and don't need fill in sounds. :fing02: I have checked the http://www.zumoforums.com also with not one that seems the best.

I've tried the Cardo Scala Rider. I had to send the first unit I received back due to an issue with the sound levels being too low. Second unit I got (good service by Cardo, by the way ) worked better, but I'm still not happy with the loudness. I ride with a full face helmet and ear plugs. Others seem to not have problem with the same set-up hearing the turn-by-turns. Blue tooth connection is fairly reliable.

YMMV...

Thank you for the reply and info. Which one do you have?

I did find this review one.

I don't need a mic though. Just want to listen to the Zumo directions if one is possible or better then others I can't see paying for some thing I will not use. :comp13: LOL I may just get one form Collett since I all ready have one of their older radio's (no blue tooth) and my freinds also have Collett's we talk to each other once in a blue moon on longer rides and uses certain radio channels to do so.

I can't find any up to date non bias reviews on them though.

I just got a 550 and I am having a bear of a time trying to integrate my Chatter box, I-Pod, and this together. I think bluetooth would be the way to go. Now I wish I had gotten the bluetooth Chatterbox........

I've got a Cardo Scala Rider(team) works great with a bluetooth adapter for non-bluetooth phones, made up a cable for my Sirius radio, tried to set it up with my new HTC Touch cell phone and the phone side works fine but it will not let me here any MP3s because the phone does not see it as a stereo headset. Not sure if this is a problem with the 550 or not, I got scammed on a 450, long story just don't shop at Durnham Radio in Oshawa ON :warranty:

Is there a reason why you wouldn't use the Zumo's MP3 player? Asking because I was looking for a solution and not having all of these integration issues.

Ohh I can...... but, my 4 gig SD card holds almost nothing in comparison to an I-Pod.

My real issue is the chatterbox mic connection. I can connect; I-Pod in to the chatterbox, Zumo in to the Chatterbox, but I haven't figured out how to get the mic from the chatterbox to the Zumo.
