Member Contributer okred Posted February 8, 2008 Member Contributer Share Posted February 8, 2008 Friend of mine at work stopped by the other day to give me this link to his brothers log. He and his wife are traveling from Chicago to the southern terminus of South America: http://rogorides.com/saride/index.php Quite the adventure... aside from passing thru central american customs... not on a VFR but a V-Strom, pretty cool trip. tinyminds
Way cool. If they are currently in Peru, then they are just over half way to the tip... depending on route, and just under a month and a half from when they started just after Christmas. Which would estimate the total trip as being 6 months from start to finish if they stay the same pace. Looks like a trip of a lifetime... I want his job :P
Member Contributer okred Posted February 8, 2008 Author Member Contributer Share Posted February 8, 2008 My buddy said that he recently retired from an airline just so he could do this trip. Pretty cool to just drop out for 6 months to ride the spine of the continent!
