I am kind of scared about replacing the front fairing. Is it hard? ...lights and all that...

After Tmack last year I replaced my front fairing, down load the service manual and read the write ups in maintainence section.........take your time and you will do just fine.

one thing that was not mentioned antwhere...

you have to squeeze the headlight plugs to remove them...........not just pull harder :o

BUMP...

I forgot to ask!

DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXTRA PLASTIC FOR A 2002?

I might even go for a new color, maybe custom! I need a left lower and a front... but I could probably buff out the front.

Don't feel bad...it could be worse...

I won't lie. I dropped my bike last Friday.

The very best way possible....

Was I railing and hit unseen sand? Nope....

I was in such a hurry to get off the bike and into work, I didn't put the sidestand down. At all.

 :squid: :squid: :squid: :squid: :squid: :squid: :squid:

I deserve each of those squid.

Now, I have to retrain my body memory so that each step,

STOP

NEUTRAL

SIDESTAND

LOCK FORK

REMOVE KEY

are broken into separate, slower tasks, so this never happens again.

I feel better having come clean about this, in front of all of you.

Can I have a hug now?

Unbelieveable.

I read this couple of days ago and yesterday I did exactly as you did. Now I know how you felt. Not much damage though. Just some scratches to already damaged fairings.

I discovered something that I have been wandering for some time. I can pick up a vfr750 with a full tank of petrol on my own.

BTW my main fear at the time was leaking petrol and the possibility of a fire.

With the help of a lower cowl that I purchased off of BaileyRock and servicehonda.com I really saved a load of money.

Honda here in Little Rock was going to charge me approx. 1300-1500 in parts plus labor.

I bought the parts myself minus a new front cowl, and I am at $280

That makes me happy.
