Member Contributer kermitoo7 Posted August 22, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted August 22, 2007 Not sure who else is a geek around here, but I just saw this posted on digg and thought it might work for someone. Maybe attached to a mirror? I don't have a camera (yet) but it might be a cheap alternative to a mount. http://www.metacafe.com/watch/776652/bendable_tripod_hack/
Member Contributer sirimiri Posted August 22, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted August 22, 2007 Dunno, that's still a pretty flimsy mount, eh?
Member Contributer tok tokkie Posted August 22, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted August 22, 2007 Thanks for the link. I am going on long solo tours on back roads and have been puzzled about a tripod for the bike.
Member Contributer scotinexcile Posted August 22, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted August 22, 2007 Wonder how it is for vibration? Maybe add a couple of rubber washers in there to minimize the vibration transfered to the camera
Forum CEO HispanicSlammer Posted August 22, 2007 Forum CEO Share Posted August 22, 2007 I bet it works well for still shots but not for onboard video - just too much vibration involved.
Member Contributer Ranger77 Posted August 23, 2007 Member Contributer Share Posted August 23, 2007 Each bend weakins the metal. FYI
