Guest calvin3
how long until the tires that come on the bike need replacing? the rear seems to be slipn a little when i gun it out of a turn, but it could be the road that i'm on after this houston heat. ALSO, what's the widest rear tire that i can put on??? the brake cable seems to be awfully close as it is. should probably keep front tire same size, right? ULEWZ
The stock tires are not sport tires, but normally sporttouring tires. They will be ready to be replaced when they start to cup, or if you are lucky, hit the wear bars. 3,000 to 9,000 miles YMMV. I get 3,000 out of the pilot powers and these tires stick great for the street. Lets not start the "I want bigger tires" thread again please. It comes with a stock 180, and that is what it was designed to handle. A bigger tire like a 190 will only slow down the turn in rate. If you are looking for poser points, a 190 should fit. VFR4Lee
Go with the 300 and you won't be able to turn at all.
