I recently had a set of Michelin Pilot Power RS installed on my '09 VFR. Since 2000 my preferred brand has been Michelin. Several sets of Pilot Sport and Pilot Powers, though the last set were Pilot Road 4. During this time I've also tried a few sets of Dunlop, Pirelli, or Bridgestone but none feel as good to me. The new PP RS might steer a little slower/heavier than the PP3, and the lack of tread is really striking. Hopefully, Michelin did their maths and they'll prove up to the challenge of wet pavement. So far I like them and am looking forward to see how they fare on my upcoming California trip this summer. Cycle World review Pilot Power RS

Hi all, Just bought some new dancing shoes for my lovely lady. Invested in a set of Michelin Pilot Road 4's. Had a set of PR3's on my old Yamaha XJ6S. They were great and i've only heard good things about the 4's Will let you know in due course how they run. p.s. It's spelt TYRES lol

My current set of Michelin PR2s are not yet done, but won't last another full season. I figured fall might be a good time to pick up another set. What's a good price for two tires these days? Checking my records, I paid $223 USD for two tires shipped the last time from Jake Wilson. There was free shipping within the continental U.S. (if you purchase two tires), and possibly some kind of discount from Michelin--though I can't recall. What has me wondering is that when I put together two tires from BikeBandit (which is supposedly having a big tire sale right now), it's $284 USD, and Jake Wilson's regular discounted price (no sale) is $271 for a front and rear. Did I score a super deal last time? Am I too early for a fall discount? I thought they might even be cheaper now since the PR3s and PR4s are out ...

After drag racing, I have a small amount of thread showing on my rear tire. So, I'll be buying a set prior to this Friday's racing. It's got Dunlop Sportmax on it now. They were on it when I bought the bike in '99. I was quoted $230 something for a set of Pilot Powers from my local dealership. I don't do any road course track days. They're likely to spend the majority of their life doing 100' drags. I'm also not a long distance rider. The bike has alittle less than 20k on it. So, any suggestions what I should put on my 5G?

There is plenty of great info around the web about the differences between Michelin pilot road 2's and 3's. From my understanding almost identical compound just the tread pattern has added parts to deal with rain water better and is a little softer ride. Has anyone had experience with the 4's? Is its a bit of overkill? and a lot pricier over the 2 +3's? Is it worth choosing over a well proven 2 for its price?

Where I live and ride in WV the Pilot Road handeled great and wore evenly. Year before last I tried the Pilot Road 2 and the sides wore out before the middle. Around here the roads have more turns than straights. I don't want a multi compound tire. What tire do I get now that they are no longer making Pilot Road?
