  1. Thanks all. I will take her out for a longer ride tomorrow. We have to keep the last of the gear-driven cam models going as long as possible.
  2. I've been neglecting my 4th gen, and finally decided after several months to take her out. Unplugged the battery tender, donned the gear, turned the key...and it had a hard time starting. Finally starts, I go down the driveway. And then notice the stream of gasoline behind me. Took her back into the garage, frustrated. Immediately started taking photos of the bike in order to sell it to you guys on VFRD. But as I did that I realized how much work/love I had put into her over the years. She's got nearly perfect plastic, new tires, a VFR Harness, pillion cover, new regulator, new battery, etc. plus I remembered all the great rides we've had together over the years. So I got back on VFRD and VFR World, and got re-inspired. Broke her down, found the leak, and took the time to clean the carbs, new plugs, new K&N, new coolant, new oil filter and oil. She's back on the road and running well. I made a short YouTube video of some of the process. Have to keep this 20 year old girl running, as she only has 40K original miles and plenty more in her! http://youtu.be/M0VeuqgYt-M
  3. Maybe I'll see this in person on Sunday...Good job! -Mark
  4. New Enough also has the 7 plate Teknik on Ebay for the same price as on their website. But here is some info they wrote that might help you decide... The model in this picture is 6' tall, so you can get a feel for the overall sizing. Max size of the midsection to be comfortable with the 7 plate is about 46".
  5. As everyone else has said..what a shocking story. Good luck with the beemer. FWIW: I still dream about my BMW R80/7, even though I love my VFR. BMW makes really solid bikes and you won't be dissapointed. And glad your still here to ride it.
