    Rocker Switch

    From the album: Sailcycle's Photos

The feed comes directly from the battery (through a fuse) through a Jastek Powerlet plug and then on to the rocker switch mounted vertically on the same panel.

Here is a crummy lw res shot of the Datel voltmeter 4 years after installation, working as good as new.

Finishing the cut with a file and checking fit often, allowed for a tight, secure fit.

    Wiring Diagram

    From the album: Sailcycle's Photos

I wired my Datel voltmeter through a rocker switch so that it wouldn't be on all the time. I also installed a Jastek Powerlet at the same time.

The panel is covered in masking tape. A line is drawn level from the bottom edge of the instrument cluster bezed, just below the Select button. The Datel voltmeter is then positioned for maximum clearance from the headlight assembly. After tracing around the meter, the outline is cut with a razor, leaving a temppate to guide the cutting process.

  8. Hmm. The lady in the red, white and black leathers looks oddly familiar. I believe that the last photo post of this rider had far less gear.

    My Better Half

It doesn't surprise me that she only went out for one ride with you. Those blue VFRs are way to slow. They are pretty, though!

    Hotness

Very nice. I didn't care for the silver when I first saw it in the showroom, but I've come to find them beautiful out in the light. One of your photos clearly shows the reason for being a suave VFR owner!!! I'll let you guess which one.
  13. The photograph does not accurately reflect the moment. You see, this is really one of those slow silver VFRs. But in it's current company, it blushed.
