  1. FYI Two Brothers makes or at least made a pretty neet bracket to take the place of the rear peg ass. I know cause I have one...I never used and should sell since I have a high mount StainTune and removed the rear pegs you can see on this website. http://www.bikepics.com/members/joefoefrombuffalo/97vfr750/
  2. Any chance I or we can convince you Darth to make yours with a extention at the base or part of the base your making/ if need be a option. I've used them for years and they really do what they are made for and needed as mentioned below. http://www.1cruiser.com/sa/p/Honda_VFR800_...2_-_Current.htm Or I guess we could use the ones Thurn sells #51-SPV046 http://www.thurn-motorsport.de/html/verkleidung-rc46_1.html http://www.thurn-motorsport.de/51-SPV046.jpg They just look funny/like a cheaper add on when seen on the bike. If anyone has a set of 05-06-07 for sale like the link below or knows of set I'm looking for a good deal on them ...since this is looking more and more like a winter project. http://www.sportriders.org/forums/attachme...mp;d=1188524712
  3. What I'm not clear in is the base you used from the ones you purchased from Thurn. Not that I would make a set myself..may try contacting the makers of them to try to get a set with no eta on yours. Also want to be sure the ones you plan on making inclued the extentions on the base like I mentioned in earlier posts. LOL FYI I live near Buffalo NY..my ridding season is very short.
  4. Any chance...please Darth you can or will you at least post some details on what is needed and let us deside if we want to wait for your offer to make them or make them our selfs or contact the maker of the original ones you found to work from Thurn?
  5. Bump. Darth Bling are you going to get this project done soon or post details on how we can do it our selfs?
  6. It really is easy to install. Try it...take your time and I'm sure you will agree. LOL Mine stoped working and I can't figure out why..so far.
  7. I've had one of these on my 97 for 5+ years now and love it. Was really easy to install also. This website has some details on it. http://www.webbikeworld.com/t2/motorcycle-cruise-control/
  8. :joystick: LOL Are you related to Busy Little Shop Darth? :warranty:
  9. No progress as far as I know. I think Darth is working with Busy Little Shop to reinvent the wheel on this (inside joke) Eh Darth Please update us and share the info we need to possibly make our own or to ask teh makers of the ones Thurn sold you. Every one intrested please pm/post Darth Bling to show our intrest and to get him to show us the way or details he promissed to possibly get this going. He's active on the website posting in other subjects so it's not like he's mia.
  10. Name your price on the mirrors...but the blond I or even better yet she will need to verfy she's worth it...to me in person.
  11. lol Does your Friend of a Friend have any other GSXR Friends as dum as him thinking about replacing mirrors?
  12. ElementalG20, Please post or send me a PM so we or I can get a good deal on a set also if what you found works out. Or are you saying you found on a set for yourself? If so ....show off/good for you :salesman: Please post details anyways after you close the deal so we or I can get a feel on what kind of deals may be had on a set. Darth at least post details on the parts you mentioned useable off teh ones Thurn sells. Thurn sent me details on how to contact the makers of them since they can't help us till this fall to try to allow us to get them faster.
  13. The Duck Mirrors do look kinda cool..but I think they would look odd and out of place on a VFR. This is a pic of them. http://www.automotto.org/images/ducati-1098-1_59.jpg Plus they look like they are really short. Darth any progress? Anyone want to try to get a group purchase discount on the Lobster extenders?
  14. Bump....Should I start shopping for a good deal on a set of Gxer mirrors asap yet? :warranty: Darth, Please consider makeing the bases to inclued mirror base extenders like these as one or as a option to add if we want to be able to see behind us like they allow. http://www.1cruiser.com/sa/cart/detail.asp...3-DD3EDEAE6602} I've been useing them for years now and can't imagin not having them on my Gen4.
  15. OK Darth...Hope you can get to it soon.......LOL Glad I didn't wait to lower my foot pegs  So far Thurn said they will help us make he proper bases...but not till late fall cause they have many projects to do before hand. I convinced Thurn to give me a way to contact the After market mirror maker to try to get them faster....but little good that will do if you say we will not need them Darth.
  16. Please if you have details post them. Pictures say a thousand words.
  17. I have a reply from Thurn below. From: "Thurn Motorsport" <info@thurn-motorsport.de> To: "Joe Foe" <joefoefrombuffalo@yahoo.com> Subject: Re: Mirror Mounts? Date: Sat, 7 Jul 2007 06:26:55 +0200 hello Joe, thanks for your email. From company, we get the mirrors from. only the mirrors completetely available. When you will order 20 pairs of this base of mirror, we can built them for you for the Suzuki mirrors (mirror required) kind regards Thurn Motorsport 1) Who else will purchase them (we need 19 more) 2) Darth Bling please give us detials on the exact part of the base we will need. I think I'm wrong when I all ready asked Thurn for these. http://www.bikepics.com/pictures/954609/ So we can save on costs and only get what we need. 3) I all replied to Thurn asking how much they will cost (with shipping to one USA location) 4) Anyone want to be in charge of being that one location and ship them to the other 19? Since I'm not set up at work or have a easiy way to do it I would rather some one else do it. 5) I all ready asked Thurn (We can build them our self's if your saying Thurn will build them for us when we purchase of supply the GXSR mirrors. All we want it the base off them. If Thurn can not help with selling us the base only, please tell me how to contact the mirror maker to see if I can get them to try to make this cost effective)
  18. FYI long ago some one modified a set of BB mirrors and found out they are not long enough to see around his elbows and was not happy with his efforts even though they looked cool/just like NR mirrors. The GSXR mirrors is the way to do it to gain the same mirrior use as stock mirrors (be able to see behind your self) with the Thurn mounts to make it easy. FYI in my e-mail to Thurn I also asked if they can not help me to please let me know how to contact the makers of the mirrors to see if I can convince the makers to sell just the mounts.....others please do the same. I have a set of Y2k mirrors with mirror base extenders like these http://www.1cruiser.com/sa/p/Honda_VFR800_...2_-_Current.htm on my 97 and like the way I can see behind me. Eh Darth Bling, Can I do the same with the way you mentioned or does it bring the mirrors out just as far?
  19. Bump! Any updates on getting these mounts? I would like to try a set on my 97. I will try contacting Thurn to get the mounts /converion done easy...others should do the same to show Thurn we have others intrested and may be worth their time to get a few sets for us. This is the e-mail addrss I'm sending my request for a set also. info@thurn-motorsport.de ....Group purchase..?...discount....?
  20. http://www.tapeworks.com/Rimstripes/RimstripesHome.html FYI I have the refective kind though. At night it really works well. LOL tell your wife to get her own bike.... :pissed:

  22. I all ready have a H.A.R.D. and a SportVue MC2 and have been useing them for over a year. The H.A.R.D. gets it done ...but I would like more info and it does have it's bugs preveting it from working 100% of the time when needed and is way to bright at night. The MC2 also get it done ...but I still would like more info and when it senses radar the display is not brighter then normal display so inless you looking at it you may miss the warning. I would also like to add amplified power to produce sound with all of the above. The V1 remote audio can be modified which Im looking in to. As for no longer avalible if you to the Forums area you will see allot of chatter about new models and differnt things it can work with.
  23. Anyone herd or seen this? http://www.jaricdesign.com/
  24. FYI I will be the first to have a Star on a Gen 4 (94-97's). Factory Pro is sending me one/the only one made so far to test and report back and if all goes well Factory Pro will be selling them real soon. Don't bother calling Factory Pro till testing it done since I will have the only one made so far. They all ready have a list of who is waiting if you requested to be contacted when they become avalible if you want one and are not on the list call and get on to be sure you get one with the first batch they make. I just happen to be lucky/the first one to request one years ago. I all ready have the Facory Pro Shift kit installed and have been useing it for years/before teh Star was invented so this will be intresting to see if the Star has been worth the wait. I'll post details asap.
