  1. Hopefully it lived up tp your expectations, as Assen is a very fun track to ride. One question though....where are the steaks so large that they barely fit on the grill?
  2. Go with the SP, it'll sound so much better!!! Plus, you can act like you're C.E. II
  3. Yeah, I know, that is on the list!!! I just gotta get back home first.

  5. From the album: My Bike

Side profile of the VFR840RR. At least that's what I'm calling it now, with the big bore kit installed bumping displacement up to 837ish cc's.

Close up of the new gauges.
  7. From the album: My Bike

    Newer CBR1000RR gauges installed.
  8. I was running the GSXR COPs on my rear two cylinders, but removed them after a week, as it started to run really rough, and backfire. I e-installed the original coils and have not had any issues since. I am curious to know if my rough running was because I was only running 2 new style, and 2 old style, so perhaps resistance was different? It ran fine for the first few days, but then got progressively worse, and again, all symptoms went away once I switched back to OEM. I did not install any resistors inline, or otherwise, the way I had them wired up was to the original coil spade terminals, that way I could easily go back to stock. I am still very interested in utilizing this style of coil, but it appears that more research/field testing needs to be done. I was also running stock spec NGK spark plugs, NOT iridium plugs.
  9. I'll be attempting to watch today, gotta sign up for Sling TV to get BeIn sports, hopefully it'll work over here.....
  10. What you can do is have a spring stub welded in the current position, it doesn't need to be very long, just long enough to keep the spring in the proper position/location, then you have the kickstand lever/peg moved down. That way the spring has the normal/correct tension, and you maintain function of the kick stand. Easy, no?
  11. Ok....to solve your sidestand issue, just have the side stand peg cut, and lowered when in the down position, or aft in the up position, that's what I had to do to mine. As for the radial MC's, yes, they are quite nice, I like the consistent pull/feel, even after a full day on the track, they still feel the same! Perhaps you could move the MC outboard 2-3mm, if there's room.....
  12. Gilles rear sets huh, nice! How do you like your radial master cylinder? You know I like mine!!!
  13. NO!!! You MUST maintain at least 1 VF(R) in your collection at all times.....Not saying that the BMW is out, but just keep the VF, as it is already paid for, thus inexpensive to keep.
  14. Looks good on the top pic, not sure about the tension, but the twists per inch look consistent, and it has been done on the correct direction. For the caliper bolts though, I can;t really tell how many twists per inch, almost looks like it isn't. Should be right around 6-8 full twists per inch. It could be correct, and the angle could be deceiving. Overall, I give you a solid B+. If I was able to tell the tension, that could raise you a full letter grade. It would most definitely pass track scrutineering though, so yeah, you did good!!!
  15. When safety wiring, remember if one bolt loosens, it should tighten/put tension on the other one. The best way to think about it is a reverse or mirrored "S". http://navyaviation.tpub.com/14014/css/Safety-Wiring-Methods-116.htm
