Gen 8 is a two piece seat, looks like gen 6 to me.

Sargent built a heated seat for my gen8 Viffer about 5 years ago, I had to send them the oem seats and they re-used those pans. It's a great seat and haven't had any issues, the heat controller you can see in this pic where I mounted it on the left, the rectangle shape controller is about the size of a box of tic-tacs. Do they even still make tic-tacs, I think I just dated myself lol...

Welcome!
For the gen 8 you can either run the rear seat or the rear cowl, you can't run both they fit in the same spot.

Just hearsay from my neighbor, but $450....... ?
That sounds about right, maybe up a bit from a couple years ago but that seems to be the trend for everything right now costing a bit more for either parts or labor. I had them do a header for a twin and it was around $300 if I remember correctly, a twin header is less coating and time than a v4 header.

Looking for suggestions for the ceramic header coating...other than by Jet-Hot($!)....for my Suzuki neighbor guy..
I did a search but no luck....whadya know?
How much did Jet-Hot quote him to do it? I had them coat a header for me before and thought the price wasn't bad?

Sorry if I missed it, lots of activity in this thread since I checked last, has anyone done a before and after dyno run and if so what were the gains?

Is the red just a sticker with black plastic underneath?

How does one go about ordering the 8th gen header and what's the cost? Or did you have to order in advance?

3 - We have an 8 gen loaner in our sinister clutches. Monday Duc2V4 mounted new tires while I installed speed bleeders and new brake/clutch actuation fluid to get acquainted with the 8 gen - neither of us have one [Yet]. We will be installing a PCV on the 8 gen. One of the production run 5/6 gen headers will be converted to the 8 gen by modeling the curves of the 8 gen front primaries. Wade will build a prototype, then we'll do a baseline and dyno tune April 6.
Oh my, this is getting exciting!
Sorry if I missed it, but has price been determined yet for a gen 8 header?
