  1. Hi All

Sharing 1 Lap on below video, as last Saturday I had a G R E A T time with our beloved VFR at AIA Portimão Circuit in Portugal 😈 aka The Roller Coaster  😈

This is why I love so much my VFR, I can through 3 Givi cases and enjoy the road with my wife at snail pace, or I can remove everything and enjoy the track 😍

  2. Hi @HispanicSlammer

I am very sad to learn this, although I understand you and would like to thank you very very much for your years of dedication to this forum.

I myself am not a "computer guy", but please there must be someone out there with knowledge to keep VFRD alive.

It will be a shame if such a forum compiling years of expertise and information, being able to achieve great deeds like the performance headers, will indeed come to an end.

If having an annual mandatory fee, let's say €20 for instance, could help another person out there to reach out to @HispanicSlammer and keep on his amazing work, do sign me in.

How many are we here, 200 guys, that's €4k per year, would that be enough?

Let's not let this forum die pleaseeeeeeee someone out there are you reading this 😅

  3. Hi

Just to share the same happened to me. My OEM RR died on 2021, I've ordered a Mosfet and still this happened.

I was ridding felt the heat on my leg stopped and saw smoke coming from the fairing.

I will order another RR now from below website per @Mohawk advise, and I guess the big lesson learned here is ditching the connectors and just Solder the Wires.

  4. also found this double side project on google from metal scorpio, on tiktok go figure, however tank mods and end air piping would be an extra issue. do believe it might perform better though...

what you do you guys say?

  5. Not Today, but actually last summer, I'm happy to have been able to mount my side panniers whilst keeping the exhaust high mounted 🥳 only required a couple of extra bushings and longer bolts 🥳

Great to cruise with my wife, supper convenient, not so good to ride alone though. The very 1st time alone I got stuck between cars 😅 Traffic was stopped so no harm done, as I was going through cars nearly stopped, pretty much guessing I was about to get stuck 😅

a pic seeing a great sunset on the motorcycle rally paper we attended last summer 😎

As one is on sharing mode, below a picture of my beloved VFR back on December 07th 2022. I was aware, as it was all over the news, that Lisbon was getting hit by a huge storm, pretty much like genesis flood narrative, however as I hate driving my car on traffic, which always gets worse on rainy days, I was like no silly rain is making me go through 1 hour plus of traffic, as I had a dinner with friends in Lisbon, and I live outside Lisbon.

Well was I wrong, not only was the rain and wind so strong, that I was going to the dinner slower than cars, as I even had to make a detour to buy a new rain coat and trousers, as mine got all ripped and I was getting soaked. Through out dinner storm quite down, going back home had to take again detours now do to roads being flooded.

Next Time I hear about an orange weather warning, I might remember having to go buying a new rain gear soaked 🤣 as well as ridding my bike slower than cars 🤦‍♂️

  6. Hi @Mohawk

Are you already retired? 😅 C'mom everybody lets make a list of who wants to buy from Mohawk 5th gen kits for:

    - bigger oil cooler + lines

    - fuel pressure regulator plus refurbished injectors (929?)

    - spark plugs ignition coils (GSXR?)

one should start a new thread named Mohawk Kits 😃

Yes, metal backing plate recessed under the chain guard, have to remove the guard from the swing arm (secured by push/pins) and reach under while threading the small bolts.

Many Thanks to you both. I ended up removing the metal bracket, screwing the bolt through the chain  guard to the metal bracket, and hammer it down as it looks like it was loose, at least now it's staying there 😃

  8.  Well last days we had on the menu 😅

-new oil and filter and K&N air filter maintenance

    -removed CBS

-assembled new Hel braided brake lines as well as stock VFR brake calipers drilled so to have all three pistons working at the same time

and now I will deliver her Monday at the mechanic, so to have the used CBR 600 f4 front M/C I have bought rebuilt, as well as brake lines bleed, as I don't mess with that 😅

I can't seem to bolt back the screw highlighted in green, it's like if the screw thread which I believed existed inside the swing arm has vanished... or how does the screw holds to the swing arm so to keep the chain guard in place... many thanks for your help

  9. Hi,

My nearly brand new VFR (which I bought back in 2016 with 1 owner only & 5.000km) has turned 30.000km 😬

Chandged oil and filters at home, and took her to local Honda dealer to have new stock chain and sprockets installed, as well as valves checked; I don't mess with that stuff 😅
Ngk iridium spark plug were fitted when se turned 24.000km
She pulls like a Train 😈

  10. Took her to the Gym 😃 😃

Getting ready to Track Day @ Estoril Circuit this weekend, removed Givi rack, rear foot pegs etc.

I felt the need to buy new front foot pegs while ridding with racing boots, and have ordered Oberon set on attached pics, and have nothing but good things to say

super easy to assemble and perfect fit 😆
