  1. Can anyone point me to the right page where the Dyno graphs were done after the installation of the headers on the 5th gen?
  2. You're right- those look nice! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  3. I was one of those who asked for passivation. After watching the original headers turn to rust I decided to go all out to try to prevent any rusting. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk
  4. Thanks. I think I have the smaller one. Bummer... Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  5. Can someone tell me the size of the filter area of the larger one? I bought one way back in 1998. I don't know if I have the larger or the smaller. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  6. The question was whether polishing would affect the passivation. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  7. Good question-I was wondering the same thing. Mine are already turning a light golden color and mine were passivated. Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  8. The Abba lift is $700....a bit pricey for me. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  9. Thanks for the replies. Checked the PitBull site and the rear looks sturdy. Does it just stick into the axle?
  10. Put the header on and love it love it love it! I took off the center stand when I put the headers on because it looked bad and wanted to get rid of some weight. Now I need some sort of stand to change the oil and clean the chain- any ideas? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  11. Just noticed the pipe diameter was a bit larger than the header outlet- bike is noticeably louder when at high rpms-a lot louder. Thought it may be leakage. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  12. I'm fairly certain the new header outlet diameter is larger but the Vance & Hines pipe fit well, even with the remains of the old, original gasket wrapped around the outlet. My only concern is if the new header outlet is significantly larger the original Honda gasket will not fit. Weren't these headers based on the Two Brothers headers? If so are there gaskets still available from them? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  13. I think i need to replace the muffler gasket. When installing the new headers the old one came off relatively intact but not completely so I believe replacing it is a good idea. I searched on Partzilla but there were 2 or 3 different gaskets listed. Does anyone know the correct one to order? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  14. Those headers look great on your white VFR. Sure wish I had some of those cool wheels on my '98. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  15. I installed the new headers and I just want to thank the two fine gentlemen who generously donated their valuable time and not insignificant effort to get these headers fabricated, built and shipped. I cannot stress how much better the bike pulls now, especially after around 5k rpm. I hope everyone who ordered the 1st batch of 5G headers chips in to not only help defray the extra costs not anticipated but to reward these 2 guys who did all the hard work. And man these new headers look great! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  16. Btw I have 3 cooper gaskets left over if anyone wants them. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  17. One other issue I experienced was the right fairing melting onto one of the pipes due to how far to the right one of the header pipe protrudes. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  18. Finally got around to installing the new headers on my 5th generation yesterday. My nephew helped me and it was still a pain in the ass. Is anyone else experiencing this pipe melting into the fairing? Also, knowing others had trouble aligning the fronts to the bolts my nephew just stretched those apart using brute force- they then lined up fairly well.
  19. Greg, looks like we have the same slip on. Did the pipe diameter match without any problem? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  20. What are my rusty '98 headers made of? Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  21. It the 20 years I have had that pipe and center stand stop it has never moved a centimeter. And my bike stays on the center stand. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  22. When i bought the Vance & Hines titanium pipe it came with a piece that works as a centerstand stop. It wouldn't be difficult to fabricate. Here's a photo or two. U can see why I ordered new headers! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
  23. If you guys have any more gaskets and haven't shipped my headers I'd love a set of gaskets. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
