Well that's an adventure Jim! Now I have look up cutting over 108 to 4--not that I have the bike to do it. Must have been beautiful but slushy. Bike looks great and well-accessorized.

Harder than changing out the crankshaft. Removing and replacing the 7th gen plastic.

Track day!
Sunrise at Sonoma.

Looks like a great place for a ride. Amazing how much it resembles so much of the terrain in BC, Washington, Oregon, and California where I've toured.
That's true Lorne, particularly the southern half of the BRP, around Asheville. Although I grew up (mostly) on the east coast, and have been a Californian for the last eight years, my very first overnight motorcycle trip was Eugene OR (proud SEHS graduate!) to Crater Lake, to Coos Bay, at 17 years old. I do see some similarities.

This was Rt. 175, looking southeast, near Clear Lake CA. The mountain is Mt. Konocti, a volcano by the lake. 175 was a great road but cold, and lots of gravel that day. No TC on the 2010 7th gen!

Yes, Bluehawk, it does exist. Until about two years ago the Black Lightning Cafe was on 5th Street. It's rainy and foggy much of the time, very British.

BRP with my riding buddy Markus, chatting it up with a biker. Two 6th gens, tires still quite warm!

Thanks for getting a red Multistrada featured on VFRD! Beautiful shop.

I know that overlook! (see my ID pic)
Before my senior year in high school in Eugene I took my very first overnight motorcycle trip. First stop was Crater Lake. Love it.

Great shot!
Looks like just north of Jenner on 1, with Goat Rock, Arch Rock, and the Russian River mouth behind that great bike.

What a fun trip. Leave KCMO, lunch in Springfield, some fun on 125 (finally some curves!), and then on to the Peel Ferry! (which is in Arkansas). Then...Push Mountain Road aka 341! Still one of my top five roads, anywhere.

Lorne, you're right. I like both oreo and panda--this one almost looks like a police bike.
Thanks for reminding me of this trip. Phillip Island is such an amazing track, I will never forget seeing the pack come down the straight and going hard left through the southern loop.

Max...UK or NZ? 😎

Great shot, my back yard. PCH to Tomales to Dillon a great ride whether from the north or south.
Love those pipes!

Did you loose your machine with the tennies-color wheels. I've been considering copying you. Do I have your permission?
C'mon Max, focus on the incredible riding skill on display in the photo.

SW of Bucks Lake and Quincy?

Very nice shot Doc! Keep going north at least to Jenner and the RV's and rental Mustangs will thin out considerably!
-
Haha, that's great! Or, maybe three RVT's? Who needs an F4 anyway?

This is when I saw you huh?
Six days later, I had to check! I may be addicted to that stretch of road...

Thanks Miguel! Tourist traffic on the PCH is way down this time of year, lots of open road.

Next time!

If you must know, an old Aimee Mann song got stuck in my helmet. And it was Tuesday.

Thanks HS! True, norcal and orcal coasts can be similar. Pretty much a perfect ride, not a wisp of fog on Rt. 1, and light traffic.

I do love those Colin Edwards colors Dutchy.
When I took this pic yesterday I noticed how cool the exhaust looks when uncovered, that loooong pipe leading to the (huge) stock cans. On both sides.
