Vtcyclist 7 Posted November 26, 2013 Fun to see. I drove by the Hope Slide in 1973 after visiting a friend in HHS. I remember stopping to read about it and the original Hwy 3 was many feet below the one I was on. Looks like a lot of vegetation has grown in the last 40 years. Quote Link to comment

The size of that slide is just massive when you actually go there and get out of your car for a look. I would hazard a guess, that as a crow flies, from where my bike it, to the top of the break away, could be near a mile. Another slide to look up is the Frank Slide which happened I think early 1900's and buried a railroad town. Frank used to be in BC until they re-drew the boundaries long ago. Now it is in Alberta.
